About B School
The genesis of IRMA is owed to Dr. Kurien’s work with dairy co-operatives, which revolutionized the dairy industry in the country. It was founded with the belief that the key to effective rural development lies in professional management.
IRMA’s MBA program in Rural Management prepares talented young MBA students to assume challenging responsibilities in rural cooperatives and development organizations. IRMA two-year residential MBA program leading to a Post-Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM) has been recognized as equivalent to a Master’s degree by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The MBA students of this MBA program of IRMA are highly appreciated in local, national and international cooperatives, NGOs, development organizations, and funding agencies. All MBA students are suitably placed in different organizations through our Campus MBA Placements program.
IRMA uses CAT scores for MBA admissions into the Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (PRM) and 2014 Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM). The details of the announcement are available on the institute website.
The week-long campus MBA placements program is generally organized during the second week of February. The institute has enlisted over 650 partner organizations, which it invites for placement purposes. This list is ever- increasing and invites are made every year to enlist more organizations. IRMA visiting organizations represent a wide range of sectors, organizational forms and orientations. The commonality among these partner organizations is their long-term commitment towards catering to the needs of rural development, particularly to the needs of the poorer section of rural society.
