Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP 2016) comprises four sections which are Quantitative Ability, Logical reasoning, Verbal Ability and General Awareness. In order to crack SNAP 2016, sectional aspects need to be taken care of.

Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation
This section includes questions from Quant, Data interpretation as well as data sufficiency with Quantitative Aptitude carrying maximum weightage. Questions are majorly arithmetic based with heavy emphasis on topics like Time and Distance, Time and Work, Mixtures and allegations,Percentages, profit Loss, ratio proportion. There might be questions from geometry and mensuration too. You need to brush up your concepts on these areas . Data Sufficiency may or may not be a part of the paper. The questions are not very tricky and therefore speed is a game changer for this section. Try to practice and solve as many questions as possible with various methods zeroing down on the fastest one. Short tricks for speedy calculation will give you a leg up.

Logical Reasoning
This has been the most scoring section out of all. The questions are straightforward and easy to solve. This section carries maximum marks with each question carrying 2 marks. Candidates should refresh their concepts on puzzles, number and letter series, coding and decoding, strengthening and weakening arguments and Non-verbal reasoning.

Verbal Ability
This section comprises questions on verbal reasoning, Vocabulary and grammar. In order to triumph this area candidates are advised to read, read and read. Read newspapers, magazines, online articles etc. Improve your vocabulary as much as you can. You can get a hold of plethora of apt words in the book ‘Word Power Made Easy’.

General Awareness
Questions are majorly based on Staic GK, Business GK and current affairs. Students should thoroughly read newspaper on a regular basis. Apart from that the following books can be of great help:
-Manorama Year Book
-Competition Success Review
-General Knowledge Digest

Apart from all this, a regular practice pertaining to each section is a must. Candidates should also solve previous year SNAP paper to get familiar with the pattern and types of questions.
